Often the production of some international films can be severely tested by imponderable elements just like the operating status of the elevators; in particular it is the case of the production of an American film set in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The title of the horror-thriller film is “Army of the Dead”; specifically, the film was shot inside the Showboat Hotel and the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel which was severely tested by some faulty elevators. The alarm was immediately raised by director Zack Snyder who enlisted the help of the firefighters and police departments of the city, as well as his film office. However, when they discovered the elevator problem, the producers made a real appeal to the city, reaching out to anyone who could help them finish the expensive film. Fortunately, a company in the city immediately responded to the call for help and repaired the elevators, allowing production to continue as planned. “It was an exciting and totally unexpected call,” said the firm’s president, continuing: “We were able to quickly get the necessary resources on site, diagnose the problem and make repairs so that the shooting could proceed. In fact, our team spent several days on site in Atlantic City to make sure everything kept running smoothly. Seeing how the film making process works and knowing that we had a small part in making it is something our entire team is very proud of. We can’t wait to see the finished product. ”Army of the Dead premiered in theaters on May 14, 2021 and is available on Netflix.
